Heaven & Hell & How to Get There from Here (Coming Soon)

“Heaven and Hell and How to Get There from Here” uses both psychology and humor to describe and engage readers on an educational ride through the human experience and inside the mind of an Alaskan counselor.  The book is divided into four main areas: “Counselors and Other Odd Things” then a section on the Body, one on the Mind, and a final one on the Soul.  Interspersed throughout the sections are questions from my readers or even former clients who popped on in with questions such as “I believe I am possessed by a demon.  What can I do?” or “My neighbor’s dog is trained to poop in my yard.  Can I kill it?”

The writing is aimed at the “man on the street”, or, in our case, the man whacking and snowshoeing his way through the Bush.  Although it has a definite home base of Alaska, the writing is universal.  The title might sound as if this was a book steeped only in religiosity, but it isn’t.  The Heaven and Hell starts, for the most part, right here on Earth due to life choices.  There are essays on Heaven, Purgatory, and Hell, but they are meant for those choices here on the planet, and are not so very irreverent as to badly offend those who are super religious.  However, spirituality is present throughout the work.  I use plenty of humor, but not much of it is offensive and the language is clean enough for general consumption.
